About Us

We’re a local family rooted in Simcoe County, and we understand firsthand how important it is for seniors to remain safe, supported, and comfortable in their own homes.

After 25 years of living in the Barrie area, my husband and I are now navigating life with three senior parents who each live alone and independently. We’ve seen the gaps in non-medical support — and how even small, practical help can make a big difference in someone’s day. That’s what inspired Homestead Helpers.

We're proud to involve our two young adult children in the work as well. Both are kind, patient, and animal-loving — qualities that make them a natural fit for the work we do. One of them has been working in a senior home for the past three years, while the other has studied Early Childhood Education. They’ve each completed First Aid training and passed police checks, and bring genuine warmth and care to every home they enter.

Whether it’s a walk with the dog, a ride to an appointment, help getting the garbage out, or just someone to check in and tidy up, we believe in offering Helping Hands and Heartfelt Care — just like we would for our own family.
